HTC One X for AT&T benchmarked: impressive, most impressive

Image
The One X is not officially here... yet. That hasn't stopped someone from putting the new superphone through the benchmarking wringer, however. Turns out, that dual-core Snapdragon S4 SoC may be all it's cracked up to be, as screencaps have popped up online showing scores that blow away damn near every mobile device under the sun. Apparently, an AT&T employee put the One X through its paces, and if the scores are to be believed, it smoked the Galaxy Nexus in Quadrant and handily outperformed even the quad-core Transformer Prime in Vellamo. So, it seems that Peter Chou's new favorite phone has the guts to match its handsome exterior, but don't take our word for it, see for yourself at the source below.

How To Use Product Creation Tactics That Professionals Will Like ...

While many people say product creation is the most profitable way to make money online, the fact is that only a minority of marketers take this route. More people would apparently prefer to do affiliate marketing than create their own products from scratch. Many people are under the impression that only very experienced marketers can create their own products, but that's not really true. Before you dismiss the possibility of creating your own products, you should consider both sides of the question. So let's explore some of the reasons why product creation may or may not be right for you.

Many people have products that have been on the market for six months or longer. These products can be modified very easily. If you have something that is one year old, this process is even easier. A product that is that old will more than likely need to be updated in some meaningful way that people will appreciate. After you are done, you can market it as an update. You can choose a higher price point with your product if the update is significant. Do not charge your existing customers for the update. Just send it out to them at no cost. It really depends on the terms of purchase when the customer originally got the product. Many businesses use this strategy to make quite a bit of money. There's always more than one way to look at an issue, which is why some people think product creation is great while others consider it a hassle. Not everyone has the same goals or even the same amount of time to put into internet marketing. With product creation, you're 100 percent responsible every step of the way, from market research to promotion. The flip side of that is you have more control, which many consider to be a great benefit. The other side of the coin is that it takes more effort and creativity to do all of this yourself. So the bottom line is that whether or not you want to be a product creator has to do with how much time and effort you're able to put into online marketing.

Naturally http://proflightsimulatorreviewy.com/ is truly the best source of information regarding this.

{One way to make a product very quickly is to combine several products together into something brand-new. So instead of improving one product and making it your own, you are working with several products at the same time. You can do this with two products or five or ten and it is up to you, but of course they all have to work together. The products have to be related in such a way that the parts you put into your own product make sense and work. Be sure there is a demand for the product you are creating. And don't try to make people want your product. That never works. If the product represents a need that people have, they will get your product without thinking.|Another approach for adding value to your product is to change or upgrade the format. Adding DVDs to any product upgrades the value immensely. All you have to do is shoot videos and burn them onto discs. You can do a lot of things. You should have your videos transcribed and added as PDFs. These transcripts will also improve the overall value. You can use the transcripts as a selling point because many people like to read and watch videos at the same time. Another companion product would be audio in the form of MP3's. Just go over what you have in your existing product, and figure out what you want to add. By adding all of these bonuses, your product will appeal to many more individuals.|If you can find a market that is desperate for certain information, this can be very profitable for you.

This product idea still builds on the theme of making a product that explains many ways to do something - the mega list product. In this product, you can be very specific, targeting individual marketers and small businesses on the Internet. For example, you can choose a hot topic like website usability. Then you create a product like; 77 Ways To Make Your Website More User Friendly - something like that. Keep your topics aligned with people trying to make money on the Web, and your product should sell very well.|To remove fear, avoid danger - all of these things are powerful emotions that motivate human beings to do many things. As you develop your product, it is important that you create it with these dangers in mind. Then you can also show people how to avoid it or minimize the danger. Since this theme is very general, and applies to many different niches, it should work for virtually anything you choose to do. {With some solid research into the market and then the subject, you can create a very good info product.|It is easy to create a very good in for product as long as you have solid research on the subject and market that it is in.|Once you have done your research on the subject, and the market itself, you can create an

Wernher von Braun at 100: Moon Rocket Pioneer's Legacy Recalled

One of the greatest rocket scientists of all time would have been 100 years old on Friday (March 23), and his legacy is being celebrated in his adopted home town of Huntsville, Ala.

Wernher von Braun was a German engineer who came to the United States at the end of World War II after working for the German war effort designing the V-2 combat rocket. Despite his past and affiliation with the Nazi party, von Braun went on to build the rockets that would carry U.S. astronauts to the moon and establish America as a leader in space for decades to come. He became a United States citizen in 1955.

"He was very unique," recalled American aerospace engineer David Christensen, who worked with von Braun when he arrived in the United States. "I don't know of another individual, frankly, that's had those capabilities, either then or now, that could do the things he did."

Christensen, who will turn 80 on April 7, will speak along with others who knew von Braun at a University of Alabama in Huntsville commemorative event on Friday.

Christensen was part of the team that worked with von Braun at the Army Ballistic Missile Agency at the Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, where the German scientist was leading the effort to develop the first U.S. intermediate-range ballistic missile. [Photos: Von Braun & America's Rocket Pioneers]

"I met him the first day on the job in February 1956," Christensen recalled. "He'd forgotten his belt that day and had taken a piece of rope and tied it around his waist. He was a very warm personality."

Von Braun's team, which was transferred to NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville in 1960, went on to develop the Redstone, Jupiter and Saturn rockets that launched America's space program. Von Braun became the center's first director, and presided over the development of the world's tallest, heaviest and most powerful rocket, the Saturn V, which lofted Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins to the moon in 1969.

Despite his outsize intellect, von Braun "didn't act that way," Christensen told SPACE.com. "He was very down to Earth and friendly, never talked down to anyone. But talking to him, working on a project, you learned very quickly he was a genius."

Though the team was gifted, it took tremendously hard work to achieve what they did as quickly as they did it, Christensen said.

"Everybody worked very hard," he remembered. "Some of the people worked themselves into the grave, lost their wives, working round the clock. Von Braun was only 65 when he died. It was a dedicated effort."

Still, Christensen said their leader found time for more than just rocket science.

"He was a very broad-based individual, very culturally capable; he played several musical instruments, wrote music, he was an astronomer and he was certainly a top notch engineer," Christensen recalled.

However, for some, von Braun's legacy is also weighted with his involvement in German war activities, as well as his status as a Sturmbannf?hrer of the SS and former member of the Nazi party.

"The V-2s were manufactured at a forced labor factory called Mittelwerk," states NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center history website. "Scholars are still reassessing his role in these controversial activities."

Yet Christensen says he and the members of von Braun's team were focused on their work, and not the past.

"Among all the coworkers, there was no animosity, though maybe there was with some of the people in the town," Christensen said. "In working with him daily you get very well acquainted. Everybody worked as a team, whether they were German or American."

Certainly, von Braun's contribution to rocket science is warmly recognized in both his home and adopted countries, as well as beyond. In addition to various buildings and institutions named after him in Huntsville, there are numerous streets that bear his name in Germany, and even a crater on the moon is called von Braun in his honor.

Idaho health insurance rate hikes deemed excessive by feds | Idaho ...

Two health insurance companies in Idaho may need to provide refunds, lower their rate increases or tell the public why they won't, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The agency said Thursday that insurance rate increases in nine states including Idaho have been deemed excessive under new rate-review authorities granted by the 2010 health care reform law. The law set a new rule that double-digit rate increases must be reviewed.

The two insurance companies weren't identified in a news release, but Idaho insurers have proposed rate increases of 13 to 16 percent. The only insurance companies whose rate increase reviews have been completed, according to the HHS website companyprofiles.healthcare.gov are two Assurant Health divisions named John Alden Life Insurance Co. and Time Insurance Co.

"It's time for these companies to immediately rescind these unreasonable rate hikes, issue refunds to consumers or publicly explain their refusal to do so," said HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius.

Since state and federal regulators started reviewing proposed rate increases in September, insurers have tried to raise rates less than they did before the new rules took effect, the agency said.

The agency said insurance rates were unreasonable in Idaho and the other states because the insurers wouldn't be using enough of their premium dollars "for actual medical care and quality improvements, and because the justifications were based on unreasonable assumptions."

Canada, Thailand to explore free trade

BANGKOK -- ? Thailand rolled out the red carpet for Prime Minister Stephen Harper's visit with his Thai counterpart Friday.

Plenty of pomp surrounded the announcement as both countries have agreed to exploratory talks into a free trade deal.

Harper, who was flanked by Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, called it a "tremendous opportunity" for Canada to become a "destination of choice for Thai business."

Officials celebrated the step forward with champagne -- Harper sipped white grape juice -- but Canada is still playing economic catch up in the region.

Harper is on his second sales pitch to Asia in as many months. He was in China in February and this six day trip includes stops in Thailand, Japan and South Korea.

The Conservatives see the booming Asia Pacific region as a key link in Canada's future prosperity.

But Canada lacks a real foothold in the region. Bilateral trade with Thailand is growing but was still a modest $3.5 billion in 2011.

We're also lagging behind competitors such as the United States, which just clinched a free-trade deal with South Korea.

Meanwhile, Canada's own trade talks with South Korea, launched in 2005, have stalled.

Japan, ? the world's third largest economy, ? and Canada have flirted with entering into trade talks for a few years but have so far only managed to complete a joint study looking into its possible economic benefits.

Harper defended his government's record.

"We've made it our business to get back into the game of trade negotiations," he said, pointing to nine free trade deals inked since the Tories took office in 2006.

Canada's energy resources could help leapfrog us ahead of the competition by helping service fuel thirsty emerging economies like those in the Asia Pacific.

"Our government believes it's essential that we be able to sell our energy products outside of North America to countries other than the United States," Harper said.

But that ambition rests of getting two pipeline projects ? Keystone XL and Northern Gateway ? that would carry Alberta crude to overseas markets.

Both projects are tied up in either Canadian or U.S. environmental reviews and their future is uncertain.

Harper reiterated that his government would be "taking the steps necessary" to speed regulatory decisions to ensure projects like those pipelines get built.
